Hi Jan, yes you are right to query as you are doing. The first thing to remember is that both Azamara ships are smaller ships holding generally less than 700 passengers so less people to chose from. Having said that because of their size they are more personal ships and you tend to get to know a much larger proportion of the people on board and we like that. The dining situation is one which you need not fear as the tables are for fours, sixes and eights in the main although there are other sizes. When you wish to dine you go to the Maitre'd's station at the entrance of the restaurant and you will be asked if you would like to join others and if so how many. We met so many people that way and many of them were singles who joined us and dinner times seem to last longer than on other ships because there was no rush because the next lot were waiting to dine etc. and because the system allows conversation to flow and develop. I am afraid that I cannot say whether single people we well looked after socially in the evenings and going ashore but the fact that we heard nothing to the contrary would indicate that that side was catered for. Whilst there are no formal nights people tended to dress well all the time and at no time did it feel stuffy or elitist. I felt that it was a better version of Celebrity with a lot more nice touches so I would say that if you enjoy Constellation, which incidentally we did, you should enjoy Azamara.
