My wife and I boarded the ship at Cape Liberty ,the boarding and administration were efficient and straight forward with no waiting, however one disappointment was that by departing from Cape Liberty ,the ship did not pass close enough to the Statue of Liberty on its way out of the New York harbour area.
One day at sea brought us to the island of Bermuda ,where the ship docked for 4 days .Our cabin was of a good size and standard with a balcony, the cabin steward was attentive and efficient. The restaurant, food and service were also of a good standard, and dining was casual as opposed to formal, there was a specialty restaurant at extra charge where the menu was superior to the standard fare, afternoon tea was also a well organised and welcome feature.Although the ship carried some 700-800 passengers ,there was no compromise on ammenities , and it retained a "large ship" feel with excellent decor in polished woods throughout the ship.
Overall facilities were of a good standard and being docked on the main thoroughfare in Hamilton, buses and ferries were all very accessible, the bus and ferry ticket day pass deal made it easy to visit all attractions around the island. A very good cruise experienc marred only by the delay in disembarkation at Cape Liberty with little explanation.
